This is undoubtedly Salman Khan's best movie ever! What a masterpiece of a movie with: 1) one of the best stories presented on the big screen in the past decade, 2) unbelievable acting by each and every member of the cast, particularly Nawazuddin and the little charming girl - Harshaali, 3) some of the most soulful songs heard in the recent past, esp the one sung by Adnan Sami, and last but not the least 4) Salman Khan being at his best in all forms of acting, especially his best emotional scenes ever. Salman Khan, aka Bajrangi will blow you away in this smoothly paced and highly entertaining + engaging drama - with Shahida by his side. A must must watch movie for each and every member of the family, friends, siblings, kids, partners etc etc.

I find it hard to believe that kid's movies these days will ever be called classics in years to come (excluding Pixar movies). In my mind, this is the last classic hand drawn film, and it upsets me that I have to wait for another five years for it to come out on DVD. This film deals with great issues and involves a huge conflict for the main character, something that recent kid/family films lack. It is funny and lighthearted when it should be, and heartfelt and serious when it needs it. I believe that everybody should see this movie, regardless of your age. It may just be the last good movie that Disney will ever do without the help of Pixar.

I must accept that Balki is a master director.

The audacity with which Balki has given homage to Bachchan baritone is spellbinding. It is not just a tribute to Bachchan baritone but also an awe-inspiring ode to perishability of a man's life.

In his third directorial venture, Balki takes the voice of Mr. Bachchan and puts it on Dhanush. Got gooseflesh? Yes, it is a daring attempt. Surprisingly, Balki flourishes in this attempt.

Shamitabh revolves around three characters primarily: an actor Danish, a voice lender Amitabh and a bubbly assistant director Akshara.

A big wow then to Amitabh Bachchan, the film's marvelous pivot. We shouldn't be surprised by anymore Bachchanism, but the man -- currently, constantly pushing himself onto a limb, decidedly making 2015 his own -- is an indisputable rockstar.

Dhanush proves his supremacy yet again. The actor is natural all through, but his performance in the finale makes the character all the more believable. Akshara is such a revelation. She stands on her feet despite a formidable co-star's domineering presence.

Director Balki shows a flair for light entertainers and the execution of certain sequences is commendable. Cinematography is splendid. Ilaiyaraaja's musical score is soothing. The title track is soft on your ear drums. Editing could've been sharper. Ideally, a few repetitive moments can be done away with.

Shamitabh isn't a groundbreaking film, but it didn't set out to be?!

Overall, it's a maturely written film with great characters, tremendous performances and some fantastic moments.

When you go to watch a disaster film, remember you're not going in there for the plot. You're going in there for the special effects and incredible moments of tension.

Does 'San Andreas' deliver these core elements? Yes, very much so.

In one word, the movie feels 'tight', as in tightly made. No needless exposition, or characters that shouldn't be there, everything on the screen works for it's place. The actors look natural in their roles. Dwayne Johnson surprised me with his abilities as an actor, the emotions of his character were real. In fact, he was the best of the lot. The special effects are done well. For a moment I thought to myself 'they've really taken time to get it right and make it realistic to a real earthquake or tsunami' because they have. Again, the plot is not the core element but it works. I won't say anything about it, except for this; while it's something we've seen before, it's done well and made interesting.

It's been an hour since I walked out of the cinema, so having chewed this movie in my mind, I could recommend it to anyone.

Dil dhadakne do is a family drama and nothing more, as my title suggests. If they are portraying it as a comedy, its a myth, don't fall for that.

Everything in this movie is related to a family travelling in a cruise to celebrate their 30th anniversary with their family and friends.

It's not like I didn't liked the movie. I quiet like the fact that they experimented this new to bollywood genre solely without mixing anything else in it to make it a commercial masala movie. But to expect that this movie will perform as a normal masala movie does is unrealistic.

This movie worked for me because of exceptional acting by Anil Kapoor and Shefali. Although I also enjoyed performance of Ranveer and Priyanka. But anyone else was on screen for such a small amount of time that the interconnected stories were not focused.

So my verdict is that it is not a made for theatre kind of movie. If you can, wait for it when it comes on TV.

Hamari Adhuri Kahani, directed by Mohit Suri, the magician of love, and written by Mahesh Bhatt, the creator of emotions, miserably fails to ignite that intensity.

What I felt after asking some viewers at the theater: characterization part is completely missing. There is no bond, no attachment, no feeling for any of the characters by the audience.

However, having said that, the weakest link in this romantic ultra- melodrama is logic. There are huge, massive loopholes in the script, and often I was amazed how they can justify that. The timeline of the movie, the gadgets used and the over usage of tears; everything is done without any research into reality.

The plot is pretty simple: Married Vidya Balan falls for Imran Hashmi, the billionaire. However, Rajkummar Rao, her husband does not want to let go of her.

With a a triangle love story, there can be immense possibilities; if you add the Naxalite angle or of you include Dubai as a location or the office romance thing. But, the director decided to get stuck with the age old formulas; in fact, those mangalsutra sequences and all tears for the 'pati' and 'suhag' stuff made me cringe in disbelief.

I was confused: why they have to go back to history, the previous blockbusters to ensure success in 2015? Why are they so afraid to try out something new, something unconventionally romantic. The love, and the purpose of love both have changed.

Fortunately, this was the first movie where Emran doesn't kiss; and unfortunately, this was the worst movie of Vidya I ever saw. She performed amazingly well, and carried out the cliché' dialogues in the most honest manner, but even her sparkling blue big eyes failed to save this movie.

I had that sinking, depressing feeling all through the movie; as if love is only a mirror back of pain and hurt and stuff. It neither arouses empathy nor any false hope; it simply narrates an unfortunate story, in the most uncreative manner.

Although Nawazuddin steals the show with his maniacal-deceptive- cunning performance, BADLAPUR is definitely a game changer for Varun Dhawan. Director Sriram Raghvan tells us about an ordinary man who went on doing extraordinary cruelty to avenge his family's death.This story is dark and violent yet different from stereotype thrillers. First half is brilliant,you cannot take your eyes off the screen for a single moment. Second half doesn't live up-to the expectation,story telling could have been more tight and impactful. Varun Dhawan as Raghu has delivered a performance that will be remembered for years, you will get to see a completely different Varun. He has brilliantly portrayed his character and makes the audience feel for him. Nawaz, well every time he manages to surprise his audience. His character Laik has weak physique and cunning brain. Some of his interactions were mind-blowing and claps worthy. Both Varun and Nawaz have carried the film really well on their shoulders. Yaami Gautam, Huma Qureshi, Radhika Apte and Vinay Pathak impress in their cameos. Sachin-jigar's music is good, thumbs up for 'jee karda'. Climax of the film is really impressive and i must say Sriram(after his poor Agent Vinod) is back with a bang. Oh yes, do not miss the beginning.

Cinderella 2015 is a rubbish movie even for kids.

This is not a new creative movie, but rather a dull copy of Cinderella's fairytale.

Once again Disney tries to warp the minds of children into believing that fictional creatures can create the impossible. (The scene when the lizard used his tail to close the gate was one of these scenes which delude kids that Lizards could perform miracles.

Disney has been exposed of using hidden sexual images in their drawings in order to corrupt and pervert kids. Search for hidden sexual images in Disney's animation.

Honestly, I don't have anything personal against Disney,but I have found out that they had already lost the glamour.

The acting was poor in general and the cinematography was too ordinary.No innovation whatsoever in this remake.

I advise you to save your money and time and to avoid this film.

Disney's massive advertisement of Cinderella simply aims at deluding you and tempting you to see a worthless movie and to make profits at the expense of naive children who always believe the manipulatory media.

The movie is set four years after the dramatic turn of events of Tanu Weds Manu wherein the seemingly incompatible duo of Manu and Tanu had managed to get hitched, overcoming all odds. Manu and Tanu now find themselves on the brink of separation. As with all things life, the passion has subsided and it's replaced by monotony and solitude. Their marriage seems more like a burden and a formality than a symbol of mutual love and respect. Their decisions are no longer driven by love but by their own egos. In short, the marriages are a singularly viable business. For Bollywood, it's a bankable subject like no other. Some of the biggest commercial hits in the history of Hindi cinema revolved around the theme of marriage. Films such as Hum Aapke Hain Koun...! (1994) and Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge (1995) exploited the Indian sentimentality for the traditions and rituals associated with marriage particularly well. While Tanu Weds Manu was a testament to the efficacy of very fabric of marriage in binding us together, Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a gentle reminder of its fallibility.

Tanu Weds Manu Returns is a non-stop entertainer from start to finish, but, in order to fully enjoy the film, one needs to be credulous enough to believe anything and everything that's on offer. In other words, the viewer must be willing to suspend the disbelief concerning the implausibility of the narrative. Once the viewer makes this compromise, Tanu Weds Manu Returns will prove to be a roller-coaster of a ride. The film certainly shows us the dark side of marriage but it does so without appearing too grim. Marriage is like any other partnership but sometimes the patriarchal mindset can make the male partner behave in a rather chauvinistic manner. Now, that's fine as long as the fairer sex is willing to bend but the modern Indian woman can be every bit as feministic in her ways—it will certainly set the two of them on a collision path. In Tanu Weds Manu Returns, we witness how a free-spirited girl and her pragmatic husband fail to meet each other's expectations. How a lack of mutual understanding and respect takes them on the brink of divorce. How young couples forget that a marriage is never "all take and no give."

Overall, Tanu Weds Manu Returns offers truckloads of entertainment and can be enjoyed by one and all. Its witty dialogues and crude humor immensely add to its entertainment value. The movie offers an undercurrent of social commentary which is quite relevant to the modern Indian society. It's also serves as a critique of the institution of marriage. But, it shouldn't be mistaken for anything more than what it really isâ€"a sophisticated example of commercial escapism in cinema. Riding high on the success of Queen (2013), Kangana Ranaut once again carries a film on her able shoulders with her essaying not one but two contrasting albeit powerful caricatures (both of which are a treat to watch). She is well supported by the rest of the cast. There's no denying the fact that Kangana is the most bankable actress in Bollywood today. She is no longer the troubled prodigy she once was and has certainly come of age as an actress par-excellence as far as Hindi cinema is concerned. Tanu Weds Manu Returns has its share of flaws and it relies heavily on time-tested gimmicks but that doesn't stop it from serving its purpose, that of entertaining the masses. Recommended!

This year has been quite dull for Hindi cinema so far, but director Shoojit Sircar ups the bench with his latest release Piku ~ a comical, heartfelt tale of an ageing father and his accommodating daughter.

Deepika Padukone plays the role of Piku Banerjee, a 30-year-old Bengali architect living in New Delhi with her father Bhaskor, who has suffered from constipation throughout his life and has to yet find a cure for it.

From his medication to his health reports and his regular blood pressure checks, Piku is responsible for every aspect of his health and constantly finds herself nursing her demanding father, often at the cost of her own sanity and her personal life.

It seems like Bhaskor's character has been created keeping a needy child in mind. Everything he says is a call for attention or a complaint about his health. Piku, on the other hand, appears to be frustrated with her father's childish behavior and his constant need for her attention for the smallest of things. She gets irritated when she is updated on each and every cell's movement in her father's body, and they often argue and banter about his self-imagined health issues.

The film progresses as Bhaskor demands to take a trip to Calcutta to visit the family property, and insists on traveling by road as being in a train or a plane will disturb his bowels. Piku then arranges a car and a driver to drive them.

When the driver of the rent-a-car company ditches them, the owner Irrfan Khan steps in and decides to take charge of the journey. And so, the 3 principle characters of the film set out on a long road trip full of disagreements, toilet breaks, and eventually, some bonding sessions between the characters.

The casting of the film couldn't be any better, with Amitabh Bachchan and Deepika Padukone boasting superb father-daughter chemistry whenever they are on screen. Both play their part with brilliance and prove that they are truly Bollywood's finest actors in the business. Masuma Chatterjee plays Deepika's aunt in the film and makes the audience roar with laughter with her one-liners and her perfect comic timing. Irrfan Khan as Rana Choudhary is suitable for the role and also initiates many of the humorous scenes in the film.

Last year it was Queen, and this year it is Piku that touches your heart and brings a large smile on your face as you exit the cinema hall. If you haven't watched it yet, then stop everything else and book your tickets to watch this year's best film so far.

Direction by Krish is very good, he has shown Akshay Kumar as GABBAR in the best way. And special credit for the Stunt Director Stunt Shiva for his amazing work in Action. The Action is so real that u can feel the punches & kicks & Akshay Kumar have performed the Action scenes effortlessly at this age.

Hello, I am white and English, and this is the first Indian film I have seen. I would not usually watch them, but chanced upon a trailer on the SONY Asian channel. I enjoyed the film so much I bought the DVD. I have never seen or heard of the actors/actresses and never seen a 'Bollywood' film, but I'm glad I saw this one, I was highly entertained all the way through. I enjoyed the cinematpgraphy, the singing and dancing was bizarre, but fun, and even though I don't understand Hindi (although now I know a few words!) They speak English enough to get the jist. I also noticed the Indian people on this film are more theatrical than white folks, their facial expressions, body language and gesturing tell a story on their own. The only faults I found were continuity and the young girl with the bobbed hair seemed to disappear from the group of kids part way through. Oh and Preitty Zinta is Divine! Good luck!

Storyline

Yashvardhan Raichand lives a very wealthy lifestyle along with his wife, Nandini, and two sons, Rahul and Rohan. While Rahul has been adopted, Yashvardhan and Nandini treat him as their own. When their sons mature, they start to look for suitable brides for Rahul, and decide to get him married to a young woman named Naina. When Rahul is told about this, he tells them that he loves another woman by the name of Anjali Sharma. Yashvardhan decides to meet with the Sharma family, and finds out that they are middle-classed, unsophisticated, and will not be able to it into his family circle, as a result he refuses to permit Rahul to marry Anjali. A defiant Rahul decides to leave, gets married to Anjali, without his foster parents blessings, and re-locates to London, England, where Anjali's unmarried sister, Pooja, also lives. Rohan, who was studying in a hostel, returns home to find that Rahul is no longer living with them, and he also discovers that while outwardly his dad is not interested

This film shines from start to finish, and runs the gamut of emotions. The cinematography, sets, and costumes are brilliant. The sparkling performances of six of India's leading actors alone makes the movie worth seeing, even if some might not feel comfortable with the deep sentimentality displayed by the leading men (women are fine with this; American men sometimes find it unnerving). Hrithik Roshan is pure eye candy for women of all ages, somehow oozing sweetness and innocent sexuality at the same time. The catchy song and dance number he performs with the lovely Kareena Kapoor at their 'prom,' "You Are My Soniya," has gotten regular replays in this household for weeks (even by my 79-year old mother, who will say, "I need a Soniya fix" - it really cheers her up!). The other musical numbers are very enjoyable, too, and never seem out of place or at odds with the flow of the film. Shahrukh Khan is adorable, as always, as the favorite son, and can hold his own in the dance numbers, too. Kajol gets to show her comic side, and was great at it! And knowing that the 'parents,' Amitabh and Jaya are a married couple in 'real life' just makes their interactions in the film that much better. Don't miss this wonderful movie! If you see just one Hindi movie, make it this one! (I am adding this question, for anyone who knows the answer: I wanted to find out what actor played Rohan at about age 12; the cast list shows three names for "Fattie" but no further details for any of these actors. Storyline

I was forced to see this movie by my college professor. I didn't like the idea of seeing a foreign file with english subtitles and thought it would be boring. I, along with my classmates, was completely wrong. The movie was wonderful. It was truly a heartbreaker and so non-American (if you know what I mean). It's a wonderful movie, see it if you have the chance-you won't regret it.
